Mental health and substance abuse services in primary health care (health and social servicescentre)
Doctor’s appointment in outpatient care
Free of charge when the reason for the appointment is mental health, substance abuse, or addiction treatment.
€28.20 per appointment when the reason for the appointment is other than the above.

More information on client fees
A client fee for a physical visit shall be charged for a service provided as a digital service, if there is no separately defined fee in the price list for the service provided as a digital service. If the service is free of charge according to the price list, the service provided as a digital service is also free of charge for the client.
The fee for unused service of EUR 56.70 per appointment may be charged:
- if the client or their representative has booked an appointment for health care services or a short-term care or housing service place of health care or social welfare services and has not arrived at the appointment or the unit in question without an acceptable reason and without cancelling the booked appointment or place in advance
- even if the service itself is free of charge
- if the collection of the fee is not to be considered unreasonable and the client has been informed at the time of booking about the possibility of such a fee being collected and given the instructions on how to cancel the appointment in advance. Information regarding the collection of the fee and the cancellation of the appointment or placement must be provided in such a way that the client sufficiently understands its content.
- when the wellbeing services county has, on the initiative of the client or their representative, has booked an appointment for the client (e.g. an invitation to a periodic check-up), and the client has been informed of the booked appointment
No fee for unused service shall be charged:
- if the appointment has been cancelled by 15.00 on the previous weekday
- when there is an acceptable or unavoidable reason for non-attendance without cancellation
- for persons under 18 years of age
A payment ceiling for social and health care client fees is €762 per calendar year.
During the calendar year, the client will pay social and health care fees covered by the payment ceiling only up to the payment ceiling.
