Are you an older person in need of help?

If you or an older person close to you already have a ongoing customer relationship with Southwest Finland wellbeing services county’s home care services or their services for persons with disabilities, for example, you should primarily contact your service provider.

In case you do not yet benefit from any services designed for older people, you may contact the centralised customer guidance service for older people in Southwest Finland. The customer guidance service for older people provides counselling and guidance for the aged and their close ones on different service options that support living at home. The customer guidance also informs about solutions in support of wellbeing, including activities and services offered by the municipality, businesses, associations and NGOs.

Guidance and counselling may take place over the phone, or the customer may receive more personalised guidance. More detailed personal details about the customer are needed for more individual guidance. An appointment for a broad assessment of the need for services can also be made for the customer. The service need assessment will be carried out at the older person’s home with the purpose of examining, among other things, their life situation, health status, resources, functional capacity and need for support and services. Such an assessment visit may be requested by the customers themselves, by persons close to them, or by someone else acting with the customer’s consent.

Customer counselling services are free of charge for the customer.
