Day centre services for substance abusers

The day centre services offer substance addicts support in the daily life free of charge as well as different activities instead of substance abuse. The activities are customer oriented and offer a chance to get peer support.

The staff helps with official matters as well as housing-related questions and supports and motivates customers with attempts to stop using. In some of the day centres, it is also possible to shower and wash a small number of clothes.

The wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland offers this service starting from 1 January 2023.

Requirements

The service is meant for people over the age of 18. It is not necessary to have a referral or to be a customer.

Some of the day centres require making an appointment, whereas some you can visit independently during the opening hours.
